If you’re considering Botox, Dysport, dermal filler, or another injectable treatment, you may have one concern above all others: Will I still look like myself?
For many of my patients, the goal isn’t to look different. They want to look refreshed, balanced, and well rested without looking obviously “done.”
That’s also how I approach aesthetic medicine at La Clinique Aesthetics in Seattle.
Natural-looking results aren’t simply about using less product. They come from knowing what to treat, where to treat, how much to use, and when to leave something alone.
What does natural-looking actually mean?
Every face is different.
Two people of the same age can come in with the same concern and need completely different treatment plans. One person may benefit from dermal filler to restore support. Another may benefit more from a wrinkle relaxer, collagen stimulation, or improving their skin quality.
And sometimes, my recommendation is to do less than you expected.
The treatment should fit your face, not the other way around.
Look for an injector who assesses your whole face
A consultation should be more than looking at the one area you want treated.
I look at facial structure, proportions, movement, volume changes, skin quality, and how different areas of the face relate to one another.
This is especially important with filler. Treating one feature in isolation without considering the rest of the face doesn’t always create the most balanced result.
The goal isn’t to create a certain type of face. It’s to understand your face.
More product doesn’t always mean a better result
There are situations where multiple syringes are appropriate, particularly when restoring structural changes that happen over time.
But the number of syringes should never be the goal.
My philosophy is placement over amount. Where a product is placed, and why, matters just as much as how much is used.
A good result should make sense with your natural anatomy and proportions.
Your injector should be comfortable saying “not yet”
Your consultation shouldn’t feel like a sales appointment.
Sometimes I recommend waiting. Sometimes I suggest treating a different area first. Sometimes the skin needs attention before we consider adding volume.
And sometimes I simply don’t think you need what you came in asking for.
I believe aesthetic medicine should be a relationship, not a transaction. My job is to explain what I see, give you your options, and help you make an informed decision.
Sometimes the answer isn’t filler
Not every change we associate with aging is caused by volume loss.
Skin texture, collagen loss, laxity, pigmentation, and overall skin health all affect how the face looks. If the concern is primarily skin quality, adding more volume may not give you the result you’re looking for.
Depending on your needs, we may talk about professional skincare, chemical peels, microchanneling, collagen-stimulating treatments, biostimulators, injectables, or a combination over time.
Good aesthetic care isn’t just knowing what you can inject. It’s knowing which treatment actually makes sense.
My approach at La Clinique Aesthetics
I’m Lynda “Lynn” Borge-Jouini, RN, CANS, also known as Injector Lynn. I’m a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) through the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board, a registered nurse since 2009, and have specialized in aesthetic medicine since 2015.
At La Clinique Aesthetics in Seattle, my approach is conservative, anatomy-based, and focused on long-term care.
I love beautiful aesthetic results, but I don’t believe everyone should look the same.
My goal is for you to still look like you.
